We Are RPV — Help & Support
Contact
We Are RPV is an independent community app operated by Michael LaNovara. Email michael.lanovara@gmail.com for help. Include the app version, iPhone/iOS version, the screen or action involved, and the exact error text. A screenshot without private content can help. Do not send a password, Google App Password, email verification code, or full private library.
Sign in and access
Open the app, enter your email, and request a code. Check the inbox and spam folder for the latest message, then enter that code. Codes expire and cannot be reused. Wait for the resend timer before requesting another. A successful code verifies your email; the server then checks your account access. If your account has a password, choose Sign In With Password and enter it to sign in without requesting an email code. Both methods use the same server access checks. Contact support if you cannot access either sign-in method.
Every verified, active account can open all sections included in their app. No email domain or approval list gives different feature access. An administrator can change access, but cannot view your saved library through member management. Tap your name at the top of the home screen to open Account settings. Privacy Policy and Help & Support are also available before sign-in.
Missing or expired email codes
Check the address for spelling mistakes, use the newest code, and check spam. If the app reports an email service error, contact support with the error and approximate time. The operator may need to check the sending service. Do not give anyone the code. An account that has been deactivated needs an administrator’s attention; repeatedly requesting codes does not reactivate it.
Workouts and GPS
Explore RPV on iPhone reads workouts and GPS routes already present in Apple Health. Allow Workout and Workout Route access when asked. Workouts recorded without a GPS route cannot be drawn as a route. iPhone import is read-only. The Watch companion separately requests permission to save Explore RPV workouts and GPS routes; its workout session may also save distance and active energy. Clean RPV instead records location directly and does not create Health or Fitness workouts. Older Watch cleanups associated with workout sessions stay local and are excluded from new cloud backups and community sharing. The Mac does not read Apple Health workouts.
For a new trail, open Map RPV or Clean RPV and start GPS recording outdoors. Allow location access and Precise Location. Wait for a usable location fix before relying on the trace. The displayed accuracy is an estimate and can vary with trees, terrain, buildings, and device placement. Recording continues through normal screen locking or app switching when iOS permits it; force-quitting the app or restarting the phone stops the process. Preserve your draft, then resume or save it. Change trail names and allowed activities while recording to describe each section.
Back up and verify a restore
Open Backup and choose Enable iCloud Drive Backup. We Are RPV creates its own iCloud Drive folder and then automatically saves eligible changes. Use Back Up to save immediately and Reload to merge saved data onto this device. Wait for the completed status; unsaved drafts are not proof of a completed cloud backup. Keep enough iCloud and device space.
Meeting Notes, Enhance RPV, Documents, Map RPV, and Clean RPV are organized separately. Explore RPV is excluded. History can retain older recovery versions. On another device, sign in, link or recover the local library correctly, enable iCloud Drive Backup, and complete Reload. Check an actual note, attachment, and eligible recorded route before treating the backup as verified.
Explore RPV workouts and routes stay on the device and are excluded. Apple Health routes and routes marked Source Needs Review in other map sections are also excluded. Confirm Recorded with Start GPS only when you know the route was directly recorded without Health imports. Do not change a source declaration merely to make a route back up.
Use Optimize Note Storage in Backup to compact journal storage while preserving current notes, attachments, and merge history. Older cloud snapshots can move to History after a newer checkpoint is verified. Keep recovery copies until you have verified the current journal and another backup.
Restored phone or changed account
If an iPhone restore brings back a saved library, sign in online using the library’s original account and choose Restore My Library. The original account identifier must match; a different person’s account cannot claim the files. Unlock the phone and use Check Again if the secure owner record is temporarily unavailable. Do not delete the app just to clear an ownership error before you have verified a separate backup.
Deleting and re-registering creates a different account identifier. When the original owner confirmed deletion in this updated app, recovery was authorized on that same iPhone for 30 days. Verify the same email on the new account and choose Recover My Saved Library. This requires the old owner’s device-Keychain permission, not just a matching email. Without that permission, keep the original files and contact support; use an independently verified export or backup to recover content. Manual full-access approval and administrator status must be granted again if needed.
Recording, transcription, and summaries
Start a meeting recording from a note. You can pause/resume and continue writing; finish the recording to attach it. Keep sufficient storage for long recordings. Review the attachment after saving. Deleting recordings asks for confirmation.
On-device transcription and summaries require supported Apple speech/Apple Intelligence features and available model assets. The first use may need Wi-Fi, power, and time for downloads. If a model is unavailable, the original recording remains available. Summary length can be changed before generating again. Listen to the original audio and review transcript/summary accuracy before sharing important meeting details.
Delete an account or local copies
Finish and save any recording first. Open Account → Delete Account and read the confirmation. A last administrator receives an additional confirmation and may choose to delete without appointing a successor; the project owner will then need to restore administration separately. Account deletion is also available on the account-access screen for a signed-in deactivated member. An internet connection is required.
Online deletion removes the account and its explicit full-access email approval. It does not remotely erase your device’s files, past exports, or iCloud/folder history. Remove those copies separately if desired. Do not delete your only recoverable copy before checking another backup. Contact support if you need help removing account-related information or recovering access.
What to send with a support request
Describe what you expected and what happened, include the date/time and error text, and say whether you were offline, recording, restoring, or using iCloud Drive Backup. Share a small non-sensitive example only if needed. Keep a copy of your original data while the issue is investigated. Updates and troubleshooting must not require you to share sign-in secrets.
